Open AI Assistant → Zendesk → Zendesk Security to manage the RAUM Marketplace app’s connection back to your RAUM organization.

Public Marketplace app

RAUM AI Assistant is installed from the public Zendesk Marketplace listing. The current app has the RAUM backend host built in. Customers do not configure a custom Backend URL.

App settings

A manual installation requires:
  • Organization ID; and
  • RAUM API token.
The API token is stored as a secure Zendesk app setting.

Automatic onboarding installation

During onboarding, RAUM can attempt to install or update the public Marketplace app automatically for an authorized Zendesk administrator. When that succeeds, RAUM generates the scoped application credential and injects it into the installation so the user does not need to copy it manually.

Manual fallback

If automatic installation fails, use the Zendesk Security panel to obtain the organization identifier and generate the app credential required by the Marketplace installation flow. A newly generated secret is shown for the setup workflow and should be treated like a password. Manual Marketplace installation →

Rotate the app credential

Rotate the credential when:
  • it may have been exposed;
  • the Zendesk installation is being rebuilt; or
  • your organization’s security policy requires rotation.
After rotation, update the Zendesk app configuration to the new credential before relying on the old value being accepted.

Keep the organization binding correct

The Organization ID must correspond to the RAUM organization intended for that Zendesk account. Do not reuse an app credential/organization identifier from another tenant or test organization.

Agent visibility

Installing the app does not guarantee every Zendesk user sees it. Zendesk role/app-access settings still determine which agents can use the installed app.
